In this the first of a programme of intimate gigs that we have planned at the Roastery, we have a very special treat for you.
The acclaimed Gaelic musician and songwriter Kim Carney will be playing from her debut album And So We Gather, produced by Donald Shaw of Capercaillie and Celtic Connections fame. Written and arranged during lockdowns in Glen Lyon and the Isle of Skye and released in June this year, And so we Gather has just been long listed for the Scots Trad Music Awards Album of the year. Her single Laoidh na h-Oidhche has made it onto Spotify’s playlist of Most Beautiful Songs in the World. Kim will be singing in both Gaelic and English and will have her friend Innes along for guitar accompaniment.
