In an age in which we are all increasingly dependent on digital devices they are still no substitute in the hills for a good old fashioned map and compass. Join qualified mountain leader Jamie Grant on a navigation journey in the high ground of Glen Lyon to learn the essentials to finding your way around in all weather conditions when batteries fail or there is no mobile coverage to fall back on. Jamie will cover everything from basic map reading techniques to timing, pacing, grid references and more advanced orientation skills such as attack points, aiming off and relocation techniques such as aspect of slope.

Jamie is a qualified mountain leader and longtime resident of Glen Lyon. He is also the Director and co-owner of Glen Lyon Coffee Roasters, so you are also covered for great coffee!
