We love nothing more than a collaboration here at Glen Lyon and the idea for our latest gift set was born from a conversation in a tipi deep in the Cairngorms’ National Park at last year’s Scottish Roasters’ Retreat. We’ve always felt that the friendly environment of Scotland’s speciality coffee scene was something exceptional and had long wanted to do a project that could bring us together with our fellow roasters to showcase some of the absolutely fantastic coffees that we are all roasting here in Scotland and hopefully raise some money for a good cause in the process.
Our good friends Steampunk Coffee and Dear Green as well as ourselves here at Glen Lyon have been roasting specialty coffee in different corners of Scotland for many years. We all share a love of coffee, a passion for seasonality and a commitment to ethical sourcing. So this Christmas we decided to follow through on that campfire conversation from last autumn and come together in the spirit of collaboration to share some great coffees with you. The result… The Three Roasters Christmas Collaboration gift set.
Proud to be three female founded businesses, we are donating 10% of sales of the Three Roasters set to the Women’s Fund for Scotland. Set up in 2002, it is one of the longest established and most experienced funds for women in the UK – in fact in Scotland you will never more than 50 miles away from a project funded by them. The Women’s Fund for Scotland supports social enterprises, rape crisis centres, projects that help women return to work, sling libraries and much much more. They make grants to projects that encourage women’s growth, self-sufficiency and social economic equality and provide grassroots funding to charitable projects across Scotland. We are more than proud to be supporting them this Christmas.
Each Christmas Gift set contains three different coffees from three different regions of the world roasted by the three of us. The coffees come packed in beautiful reusable tins with an information card about each coffee producer and roaster.  The set contains 125g coffee each from Colombia (Glen Lyon), El Salvador (Dear Green) and Rwanda (Steampunk) – 375g of coffee in total – and is the perfect gift for any coffee lover this Christmas.Â
The Three Roasters sets are available in limited numbers with a last orders date of Sunday 9 December so get your order in quick. The sets will be roasted, packed and shipped (delivery is free) the week of 10th December to be with you in good time for Christmas.
