This coffee is produced in the infamous Yirgacheffe region, Woreda of Kochere. The Bonde Kochere Washing Station has 300 raised beds and employs ~ 375 members of staff during the harvest season. The high altitudes, climate, local heirloom varieties and sandy, fertile soils result in an incredibly delicate, citrussy and bright cup profile from this washing station year on year.

The contributing farmers are part of the Kerchanshe network, set up by Israel Degfa, which helps producers and their families with access to healthcare, education and agricultural support.

Packaging:
Both 250g and 1kg orders are packed in a TUV Austria Compostable Certified bags. These are suitable for a well managed home composter but better suited to industrial composting. We have a twice monthly industrial compost collection from our roastery in Aberfeldy and are happy process any bags returned to us.
